  • Module type: 80 pin
    Two rows of 40 pins, typically with the RCBus ‘medium’ PCB profile, following the RCBus 80 pin specification.
  • Module type 40 pin:
    One row of 40 pins, typically with the RCBus ‘medium’ PCB profile, following the RCBus 40 pin specification.
  • Module type 40+:
    These typically have 39 pins in the first row and between 10 and 20 pins in the second row. They usually follow the RC2014 standard height PCB profile. This type is also known as the RC2014 enhanced bus.
  • Module type SP39:
    These typically have one row of 39 pins, usually with the RC2014 standard height PCB profile. This type is also known as the RC2014 standard bus.
  • Module type LP40:
    One row of 40 pins, typically with the RC2014 low profile PCB form factor.

Modules designed for the 40-pin RCBus (or RC2014 standard bus) can be used with 80-pin RCBus backplanes, but not all 80-pin RCBus modules can be used with 40-pin RCbus/RC2014 backplanes.
